This VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy General is an extensive vocational qualification for students seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed beauty therapist.

If you are looking to start a career within the beauty industry, then this internationally recognised Diploma qualification includes all the vital fundamentals to work effectively as a beauty therapist.

The course comprises of various mandatory and optional courses, we run these regularly so you can choose dates to suit your busy diary and home commitments.

There are 5 mandatory courses, they are:

• Provide manicure services (Day 1 course)
• Provide pedicure services (Day 2 course)
• Provide facial skin care treatment
• Enhance the appearance of eyebrows and eyelashes
• Carry out waxing services

You then choose from the optional courses, you will need to gain a minimum of 9 credits in total:

• Provide make-up services (6 credits)
• Provide threading services (4 credits)
• Fulfil salon reception duties (3 credits)

In addition to your classroom training, each course will contain practical work (observations), coursework (from home) and exam paper(s).

You will complete some of your observations for each course during your training with your model provided. Your coursework is completed from home and once this has been submitted, marked and feedback provided, we will invite you for your assessment day. These are set dates each month.

During your assessment we will observe you work on your model using all the protocols you have been taught, this can also be counted as observations if they have not all been completed in training.

There are exam paper(s) for each course; you can complete these at the Academy whenever you feel ready.

The cost of this VTCT course includes the mandatory VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Beauty Therapy and Nail Services. This is a self-study course with a live exam which will be taken at the Academy.

Our full day courses run from 10am to 4.30pm. We ask that you arrive for around 9.30am so you can grab yourself a cuppa from our student lounge, meet your fellow students and get yourself prepared for your day of learning. Although we have a finish time in our classes, if we need to we will stay if your training needs us to.

Our classes are kept small to ensure you receive the attention you deserve. Our experienced trainers are hand-selected by our Training Director Naomi O’Hara and pride themselves on their delivery and attention to detail. Our award winning Customer Service Team will ensure they are there for you throughout your journey with us and after.
