Micropigmentation Taster Day
If you want to be sure that micropigmentation (also known as permanent make up) is right for you before you commit to the full course, why not just have a taster day first?
Micropigmentation (which is the formal term) can be known by many different names such as permanent make up (or PMU), semi-permanent makeup (or SPMU). Regardless of how it is named the concept is the same, it’s all about implanting pigment into the skin using a digital machine to improve appearance and enhance shape and colour.
Micropigmentation is different to microblading because it uses a digital machine with a needle cartridge powered by electricity rather than a handheld microblade to implant the pigment into the skin. Whereas micro blading can only be used for brows, digital permanent makeup can be used for eyeliner, lips and other body areas such as scalp and medical tattooing (areola).
Deciding to train in permanent makeup is a big decision and can be costly (especially if you compare it to microblading, due to the initial cost of the machine) but you can start to see a return on your investment in training within a matter of weeks once qualified as the income per treatment is very profitable.
If it’s something you really have an interest in but are hesitant in committing to a full course, a micropigmentation taster day is an ideal solution. We run regular taster days to help prospective permanent makeup artists get a feel for what’s involved in the course.
What’s more, if you choose to book onto a full course within 4 months, we’ll deduct the taster day fee from the course!
What you can expect:
On any of our taster days, you’ll be joining fellow micropigmentation students on day 1 of a full micropigmentation course.
You will cover:
- Health & safety
- Anatomy & physiology
- Medical conditions
- Needles and sizes
- Pigment & colour
- Mapping & drawing on
- Practice pads
It’s important to note that this is an introduction only and attending the taster day will not qualify you or give you sufficient skills to carry out micropigmentation treatments.
Our full day courses run from 10am to 4.30pm. We ask that you arrive for around 9.30am so you can grab yourself a cuppa from our student lounge, meet your fellow students and get yourself prepared for your day of learning. Although we have a finish time in our classes, if we need to we will stay if your training needs us to.
Our classes are kept small to ensure you receive the attention you deserve. Our experienced trainers are hand-selected by our Training Director Naomi O’Hara and pride themselves on their delivery and attention to detail. Our award winning Customer Service Team will ensure they are there for you throughout your journey with us and after. We are more than just an Academy, we want you to be the best you can be and know that your training is just the start of your journey!
